Hello and welcome. I am delighted that you are thinking about telling your story. As well as being a wonderful legacy for your family, it can also be a valuable opportunity for you to take some time to reflect on your life.
You might worry that your life hasn’t been terribly exciting but I can assure you that it will have been more fascinating than you might imagine. There will be huge differences in how you were brought up compared to the current generation. The places where you lived will have altered enormously over the years. The world of work, fashion, music and art will have all changed in your time, some progressing, others coming back round again.
The increasing interest in family history has made telling your story even more important. Future generations won’t just want to know when you were born and when you died, they will want to know how you LIVED.
Whether you wish to tell the story of your entire life or simply focus on one period or event, I will be there to guide you through the process with patience, kindness and humour.
The table below provides an indication of the available packages and their associated costs, however, I am happy to provide you with a bespoke quote specific to your requirements.
Format
All biographies come in a digital file format as standard. Additional costs will apply for printed versions and this will depend on the size and finish but they generally start around £35 for a paperback and £50 for a hardback.
How to choose a package
You may find it difficult to choose the right package, especially if you are uncertain of how many words you might need to tell your story.
I have provided a breakdown of the level of detail you can expect from each package.
Bitesize – up to 1,000 words
This package provides the key details of someone’s life. It focuses on the main life events with only the most basic details supplied.
It can be used as the basis for a speech in celebration of a milestone birthday or as a helpful foundation for family tree research.
A Few Tales – up to 5,000 words
This package allows for some detailed stories to be shared in addition to providing the key details of someone’s life.
Basic Memoir – up to 12,500 words
This package covers all of the milestones in someone’s life and provides the opportunity for some more detailed memories and reflections.
Life Story – up to 25,000 words
This package allows for a number of detailed reflections, some social context and some more comprehensive explanations of family connections.
Over 25,000 words
If you would like a fully comprehensive biography you may wish to obtain a bespoke quote tailored to your requirements. Please contact me to discuss this in more detail.

Gift vouchers

Please note, gift vouchers are valid for two years from the date of purchase. Redemption occurs when the agreement is signed for the biography service and the first instalment is paid.
